내 연인의 눈은 태양을 조금도 닮지 않았습니다.

 

Coral is far more red than her lips' red

그녀의 입술은 산호보다 붉지 못합니다.

 

If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun

눈이 하얗다면, 그녀의 가슴은 회갈색입니다.

 

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

머리카락이 철사라면, 그녀의 머리에는 검은색 철사가 자랍니다..

 

I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
