Is this a dagger, which I see before me,

I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.
그런데 잡히지 않는다. 잡을 수는 없는데 여전히 내 눈앞에 있구나.
Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible
To feeling, as to sight? Or art thou but
치명적인 환영이여 너는 눈에 보이는 것만큼 느끼지는 못하는 것이냐? 혹은
A dagger of the mind, a false creation,
마음속에서만 보이는 단도이냐, 헛된 창조물 이냐,
Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?
열에 가득 찬 머리에서 나온 (거짓 환영이냐)?
I see thee yet, in form as palpable
As this which now I draw.
나는 여전히 너를 본다. 형태에서는 내가 뽑고 있는 이 칼만큼이나 만질 수 있는 것으로 보인다.
Thou marshall’st me the way that I was going;
환영이 내가 가려던 방향(던컨이 있는 방향)으로 인도하고 있다.
And such an instrument I was to use. –

나의 눈앞에서 피를 흘리는 행위를 해야 하는 것을 너가 알려주는 구나(미리 보여주는구나)
이제 세상의 반에서 자연은 죽은 것처럼 보인다. 사악한 꿈이 커튼을 친 꿈을 속이고 있다. (잠 깊이 들어 꿈꾸고 있음 – 악몽을 꿔서 꺠어 날 수 없음)

내 발걸음을 듣지 말아라(내지 말아라), 내발이 어디를 가던 간에
Thy very stones prate of my where-about,
너의 재잘거리는 돌(재갈)들이 내가 어딨는지 알려 줄 까봐
And take the present horror from the time,
그리고 지금 이 시간으로부터 현재의 공포를 빼앗아 버릴까 봐
Which now suits with it. – Whiles I threat, he lives:
(현재의 시간은) 나랑 가장 잘 맞는 시간이다.(암살하기 좋은 시간!) – 내가 말로만 위협하는 동안에 그는 살아있다.
Words to the heat of deed too cold breath gives.
말은 행위의 열에 차가운 바람만을 불어넣을 뿐이다.
I go, and It is done: the bell invites me.
내가 가면 그 행위는 이루어진다. 종이 나를 초청하고 있다.
Hear it not, Duncan; for it is a knell
That summons thee to Heaven, or to Hell
던컨아, 이 종소리를 듣지 말아라. 왜냐하면 저 종소리는 너를 천국 혹은 지옥으로 부르는 조종이기 때문이다.
